We are trusting God for using this Mauri soil to prepare us and send us in the future as church planters to Flemish Belgium.
Mario Weyers was appointed by the St. Andrews Presbyterian church in Te Puke, New Zealand, as their pastor. He and his wife, Mitsi, with their two sons, Reinhardt en Stefan arrived from South Africa in New Zealand on 1 March 2014. Mario and Mitsi are currently Partners in Ministry with ECMI as they want to mobilise the Christian community in New-Zealand for greater involvement in Europe.
In the past Mario has been mobilising Dutch Reformed churches in South Africa for greater involvement in church planting in the Flemish speaking regions of Belgium. He was for the last 15 years involved in short term church planting outreaches to Flemish Belgium.
"Although we as a family were expecting God to send us from South Africa to minister in Belgium, we are currently serving the Presbyterian church in New Zealand. We are finding that New Zealand is well adapted to the postmodern way of thinking and lifestyle that we have come to experience in Belgium. We are trusting God for using this Mauri soil to prepare us and send us in the future as church planters to Flemish Belgium. We thank you for your prayers and greatly needed partnership."
